Sometimes referred to as the Blue People or the People of the Veil. The Tuareg live in the western and southwestern Sahara Desert. Although most still live as pastoralists in their moveable tents of animal skins and grass matting many now live in cities. Tuareg nobility within their subdivided tribes are divided into castes.
