Himba

Northern Namibia • Language: OtjiHimba

The Himba have chosen to live much like they did 300 years ago as farmers raising livestock.  The Himba are recognized by the otjize, a cosmetic mixture of red ochre and animal fat, they apply to their skin and hair,  which protects them from the harsh desert climate.
