Are the largest community of nomadic herders, originating between the Senegal River Valley and eastern Guinea. Totaling more than 17 million people, almost 8 million still live as nomadic herders, herding cattle and sheep across West Africa. This tribal community can be found in large numbers in northern Nigeria, Mali, Niger, Guinea, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, and Gambia.
