Amhara

Eastern Africa, Horn of Africa • Language: Amharic

They inhabit the North. And are also known as Abyssinians. They comprise one of the largest ethnic groups in Ethiopia. Most Amhara are mainly subsistence agriculturalists, as coffee is their biggest cash crop. Perhaps constituting the earliest farming group in Ethiopia. They live in compact villages where land is communally owned. And their official language is Amharic.
